Barry S. Reiter, CHBME – Principal

Barry ReiterDuring his successful 35-year career in health care practice and medical billing management, Barry has provided on-site consulting in physician and hospital settings, negotiated administrative and clinical office contracts, developed and executed practice management policies and protocols, increased overall practice revenues and managed care contract revenue, and managed major software conversions.

In his first 25 years at FPS, Barry expanded the company to three locations (New York, NY Hawthorne, NY; and Hollywood, Florida), diversified the scope of services to provide credentialing and practice management software systems to meet the demands of the changing medical community, and implemented training courses for new employees. After a 6-year hiatus, Barry re-established the company in 2006 and implemented a sales and marketing team. Today, he works with clients to conduct comprehensive analysis and on-site practice evaluations, helping them to improve their financial status and efficiency, and remain compliant to various state and federal agency requirements.

Barry is a former Board Member and Corporate Secretary of the Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA). He is also the former Chairman of the Government Relations Committee and continues to be an active participant.  Additionally,  Barry serves as a member of the Certification and Education committees and the ICD-10 Task Force. He is a member of the Westchester County Association’s Blue Ribbon Task Force, and previously served as a member of U.S. Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand’s Health Advisory Committee.

Todd Bochenski – Principal

Todd BochenskiDuring his nearly 20-year career in health care, Todd Bochenski has gained experience in all aspects of the industry, affording him a unique understanding of the intricacies of medical billing.

He joined FPS in 2007 as Director of Business Development and became a principal of the firm in 2009.  In this role, Todd is responsible for creating and maintaining the excellent relationships FPS has with its clients, from prospecting, to implementation, to ongoing client relations. His duties include sales and marketing, data conversions, reporting, and finances. He also develops databases for new clients and trains them on the FPS billing system.

Prior to joining FPS, Todd spent seven years at Northeast Asset Recovery, where he assisted in the transition of a 200+ physician pediatric practice into the company’s portfolio, then went on to establish and grow relationships with many clients, including most of the major hospitals in the five boroughs of New York City. Before that, Todd held positions as a billing and insurance claims representative and claims supervisor.

Todd, a graduate of Westchester Community College, is a member of the Healthcare Billing and Management Association and the Westchester County Association.

Nickie Hansen – Principal

Nickie HansenNickie has been with FPS since 1986, and has more than more than 30 years experience in medical billing and the management of healthcare receivables. She uses her knowledge and expertise in medical billing, reporting and administrative services to provide clients with the information they require to fully understand the state of their practice and to effectively and efficiently manage their practices and improve their performance. Nickie’s strong accounts receivable background, and experience in supervising clerical, data entry, payment posting and medical billing staff, gives our clients the confidence of knowing that their medical billing is being handled in full compliance with all local, state and federal laws. Her direct and managerial experience includes appeals on incorrectly processed claims, workers compensation, no-fault insurance, and confirmation of patient authorization, negotiating surgical bills, speaking with claim examiners, patients, physicians and attorneys, and credentialing providers.

After 10 years as Medical Billing Operations Manager for FPS in New York, Nickie established the company’s Florida office in 1996. From there, she continues to develop and strengthen client relationships and provide them with first-rate support.
