With increases in the demand for professional and occupational certification, physician and medical credentialing are no longer a part-time assignment, but a critical and time-consuming component of your practice that requires the full-time attention of a qualified professional. Initial Credentialing

FPS Medical Billing can help you review carrier choices and handle all of the health care and provider credentialing requirements with each, including follow-up for applications. Our goal is to complete the application process promptly and with minimal disruption to you and your staff.

When you receive a request to complete a credentialing application, simply forward the related documents to us, and we’ll take care of it. We will prepare the application packet, attach copies of all required documents being requested by the affiliation and submit your completed application packet to them. All applications requiring an original signature will be sent to your office with explicit instructions.

Additionally, FPS will ensure all requirements have been met. Every file will be accurate and complete prior to submission. The verification process can be seen in as little as 15 to 30 days. Throughout the entire credentialing process, we will maintain a detailed spreadsheet showing progress to date.

Credentialing Services Include:

  • Initial credentialing – When admitting new doctors into a practice.
  • Re-credentialing verification and validation of current plans.
  • Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) – Enrollment and update for Phase 1 and Phase II CORE certification.
  • Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS)/Medicare compliance updating.
  • Maintenance of professional certificates, including medical license, malpractice insurance, and DEA registration.

Our credentialing system reduces data entry errors, tracks expiring credentials and alerts the FPS staff, and monitors the status of applications throughout the process.
